Helping adults with disabilities to integrate into society

SHELTERED WORKSHOP
 

2,734 clients were actively engaged in sheltered workshops and were able to earn an income for at least 3 months.

INTEGRATION SUPPORT
 

1,295 persons with disabilities showed an improvement in daily living skills, gained greater independence and were able to participate in the community.

562 persons with disabilities had access to support networks and resources to enhance their physical and psychological well-being.

Helping children with special needs and youth-at-risk to reach their potential

SPECIAL EDUCATION SCHOOLS
 

5,562children with special needs received education and training in independent living skills. Out of 349 graduands, 107 graduands attained employment.

SCHOOL SOCIAL WORK
 

1,234 children and youths in school social work programmes developed self-confidence to deal with changes and challenges, and improved in personal and social skills in relationships.

Out of the families served,

  • 10,869 enhanced their problem-solving and coping skills
  • 10,954 enhanced their relationships to improve their situation
  • 5,284 improved their ability to manage on their own
  • 15,658 have been successfully linked with appropriate services
 

FAMILY VIOLENCE SPECIALIST CENTRE

 

171 victims and their family members were able to manage issues of family violence and build safe relationships.

Helping persons with mental health issues to integrate into society

INTEGRATION SUPPORT

 

412 persons with mental health issues were better able to cope with their issues and/ or improved in their mental health condition.

 

CAREGIVING SUPPORT

 

123 caregivers indicated that they have acquired a more positive min-set towards caregiving and have also gained knowledge and skills in caring for persons with mental health issues.

Helping seniors in need to age gracefully in the community

BEFRIENDING & COUNSELLING PROGRAMMES

 

697 seniors were less isolated and felt supported to age in place. This is through achieving an improved sense of social and psychological well-being and access to contacts and sources of help.

 

CAREGIVING SUPPORT

 

262 caregivers learnt to provide better care for loved ones and were able to put their newly acquired skills to use at home.
